The following is a selection of some of the Club’s past events. Events are a very important part of the Club’s activities since they help to further its conservation activities by raising its overall profile and are the ideal way for members to get together, discuss their common interests and enjoy themselves.

Launch of the Nile and Copenhagen Captains’ Memorial
Thursday 17th March 2011

The reception at Kensington Town Hall on Thursday, 17th March 2011 launched the fundraising campaign for the Nile and Copenhagen Captains’ Memorial. It was made possible by the very kind permission of the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, by DBR (London) Limited, the award winning company providing a full range of masonry conservation and repair services for historic buildings, including Nelson’s Column, Trafalgar Square and the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich; and by Past Pleasures whose play-let on the Battle of the Nile was performed free of charge. The 1805 Club would like to thank them for their wonderful support. We should also like to thank the Marine Society and Sea Cadets for its enthusiastic participation. The evening raised over £3,000.
